EagleRidge Plaza Rib Competition Brings the Heat

The grills were fired up and the competition was fierce at the 7th annual EagleRidge Plaza Rib Competition on July 16, as 21 teams gathered at EagleRidge Plaza for an afternoon of barbecue, friendly competition, and community fun. The annual event is a fundraiser for the EagleRidge Legacy Fund, which provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in the construction trades.

After hours of smoking, seasoning, and grilling, the judges selected Heyer Engineering as the first-place winner, with John Kane taking second place. Guests also had a chance to weigh in through the People’s Choice Awards, with NAU Country earning both People’s Choice Best Side and Best Rib.
